Lead Instructional Designer
The Lead ID meets all the requirements of Instructional Designers (see job posting below) and more.
The lead
instructional designer oversees the instructional design (ID) team on a project, provides
instructional design
direction, guidance, and support and leads the Analysis and Design phases. The lead ID works
closely
with the PM to
help manage ID deadlines and deliverables, and manages the client's expectations. Sometimes Lead
IDs
will also
function as IDs on the project.
- Consults with client to ensure that the program's instructional design meets the client's business drivers and
objectives
- Sets expectations for learning outcomes
- Designs global instructional design elements to best fit the learning outcomes and creates design documents
- Works with SMEs to gather content and interview key individuals, when necessary, to gain content
- Organizes, indexes, and manages all content from SMEs
- Manages SME time and involvement to ensure SME time is never wasted
- Works with the project manager to schedule discovery events
- Works with the project manager to adjust standard process for project where necessary
- Works with the copyeditor to identify and gain client approval for writing standards
- Sets and manages to instructional design standards for all project deliverables
- Peer reviews all deliverables from the instructional design team.
- Coaches both internal and client teams about proven instructional design strategies and approaches

Lead Designer/Director
Description
This candidate has strong conceptual skills and superior design sensibilities. They play a significant role overseeing the entire creative process and driving creative strategies. They lead the definition, design and overall look and feel of
integrated client programs. The lead designer/ director delivers the highest quality of work, inspires and enhances the efforts of the team, and ensures that our creative product remains leading edge and ahead of our competition, and ultimately
delivers powerful results for our clients.
This role will be responsible for working from or creating a design brief as well as generating ideas to present to the client. It will be responsible for creative vision of the project as well as managing and directing all design resources for a
project. They prioritize work and resources across multiple engagements and continually pitch concepts and presentations to clients. They will bring innovative and creative approaches to the table and inspire teams to create and build experiences
that speak to client and audience needs. They will also keep the team working and aligned with the budget and timelines of a project.

Instructional Designer
Overall Description:
SweetRush is seeking exceptional individuals to join our team of
trusted freelance Instructional Designers. Our business model is to
maintain a pool of super talented IDs who we keep busy working with
fantastic clients on exciting projects. The description below is a
guide – but only apply if you believe you qualify as "exceptional"
talent, meaning that you know your skills, attitude and capabilities
are heads above your peers.
You will be responsible for designing and developing training materials to
support our clients’ business objectives and ongoing operations, using ADDIE and
related models. You’ll work closely with client subject matter experts to ensure
the effectiveness of solutions for the intended audience(s). The training
solutions we provide are often blended, and most often have an emphasis on
eLearning. Thus, not only is experience with WBT/CBT required, but you must
bring a real passion for online training and interactive technologies.
To function in this position, you must be self-directed and project
management-oriented, though you will be part of a team reporting to a project
manager or team lead.

General duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited
to:
- Gathering all necessary client information from SMEs
and conducting audience and learning environment analyses.
- Organizing and analyzing various materials, including
analyses conducted, and developing strategies for the creation of policies,
documents, programs, evaluation methodologies and other training materials to
accomplish client’s business objectives for training.
- Working independently or as part of a team, depending
on size of project, to develop and design instructional goals and strategies,
training objectives and measurements.
- Participating in the development and implementation
of policies, standards, documentation and processes to insure the final
product meets our standards of excellence and consistency in terms of
instructional design integrity and the client’s expectations.
- Demonstrating creativity, skill and experience in
interactive design and production in order to create instructional materials
to meet and exceed client expectations, goals and objectives.
- Designing and developing course outlines, detailed
design documents, storyboards, participant and instructor guides,
presentations, job aids and assessments.
- Evaluating existing client materials in order to
identify deficiencies related to instructional design and integrity, or to
incorporate new products into existing client materials.
- Reviewing, revising and finalizing all materials,
including proofreading and editing of documents and materials.
- Communicating frequently and effectively with clients
and internal team members to ensure that the goals and objectives of the
project are being fulfilled.
- Periodically assessing and developing revised project
goals based on input from the client or information learned during assessment
or development of materials, and collaborating with the project manager or
team lead and client to proactively resolve any deviations from project
parameters.
- Providing periodic oral or written status reports on all ongoing
development projects.
Knowledge, skills and characteristics required:
- Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to
exercise independent discretion and judgment
- Ability to analyze and evaluate facts and evidence,
and process large volumes of verbal and written information, to formulate
sound and logical conclusions

Education and experience required:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree from four-year college
or university in one of the following fields preferred: Educational
Technology, Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education,
Communication, Journalism or related discipline. Comparable OTJ experience in
this role is also acceptable.
- Knowledge of instructional objectives, adult learning
principles and learning theory mandatory
- Knowledge of information mapping and web design
principles a plus
- Three to five years experience as an instructional
designer in a business setting
- An advanced degree in one of the above fields may be substituted for no
more than one year of the required experience.

Description
As a designer you will assist with the creation of on-line visual designs including visual concepts, motion graphics, typography, branding and icon designs for the internet and interactive platforms. You will work closely with the design team to
develop new interfaces, interactions and print/web material.
You will be responsible for participating in the conception process as well as creating wireframes and/or mock ups for interactions and templates. You will also be performing production work with graphics, layouts and photo editing.

Description
The Project Manager is a client liaison and project team lead working with
graphic designers, technologists, instructional designers, writers and
engineers. The PM is responsible for the entire scope of the project, from
inception to launch – both the "big picture" of the project and all the myriad
day-to-day details. The PM has the ability to identify, anticipate and manage
risks, resulting in a smooth, efficient, on-time, on-budget project experience.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Ownership of the client relationship throughout the project, acting as the project "hub" and primary contact
point
- Setting and managing client expectations with the
goal of achieving positive client/team interactions
- Providing clients with education and alternatives
when challenges arise during the project
- Project status reporting, including risk management, budget tracking and change management, and issue tracking
and resolution
- Designing and maintaining detailed project plans, including
establishing realistic schedules and tracking key milestones and
dependencies
- Managing all project resources in terms of
prioritizing tasks and ensuring effective hand-off for dependent tasks
- Managing contractors who may be working virtually and in different time

Requirements

Multimedia Developer
This position is based in Costa Rica and requires that you are
proficient in English. We're currently seeking a Multimedia Developer
to play an integral role in the SweetRush development process,
responsible for much of the assembly of the e-learning courses that we
produce. This individual will be a tech-savvy, quick learning, problem
solver, who can communicate effectively with his remote teammates,
while enjoying the luxury of working from home. This individual will
work primarily within a flash/XML/CSS framework with a defined set of
functions and user interaction types all configurable via XML and CSS.
Additional Responsibilities:
- May need to work within other technologies if a project requires us
to work outside of our Flash Framework, such as Articulate, Adobe
Captivate, or Lectora.
Required Skills/Background:
- Possess a strong understanding of HTML, XML and CSS
- Some basic programming experience
- Ability to implement pixel perfect translation of design mockups into HTML
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in English
- Basic understanding of OOP programming is a plus
- Basic familiarity with JavaScript is a plus

We are looking for creative 2d and 3d animators who will be responsible for designing an animated environment that may include any of the following:
- Backgrounds
- Navigation elements and transitions
- Interactivities
- Animated characters/avatars

- Informational graphics
You will also be responsible for drafting storyboards and/or sketches to communicate your ideas to the team about the best approach needed. You will be working out the timing of movements and making sure things meet the script and soundtrack.
