Join us at the Expo Floor booth #534 on November 4-6 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for one of the most inspiring learning and development conferences of the year.
What brings L&D innovators to Las Vegas each November?
Three full days of genuine connection, fresh ideas, and high-energy collaboration at DevLearn. As the learning technology landscape continues to shift, our SweetRush crew is packing its bags—and bringing plenty of trademark rainbow heart energy straight to the Strip. We’re ready to share what’s inspiring us, talk strategy, and tackle the big questions shaping the future of learning. Read on for a sneak peek at our team's most-anticipated moments, emerging topics, and the conversations we’re hoping to spark with you.
What I would love if people asked me: "If AI absorbs the routine work that traditionally built experience, how do we modernize onboarding and get people ready to be successful in jobs that require more critical thinking and problem solving than ever?"
What kinds of conversations I’m hoping to have with fellow L&D leaders and innovators: "Let’s talk about how we as leaders are making the most of this moment and leading transformation rather than just managing change. We all want our organizations to thrive, and key to that, and the heart of our L&D craft and purpose, is helping people reach their potential. It’s more important than ever as their jobs are being reshaped and uncertainty remains. I’d love to hear what you’re fired up to create every day and the impact you’re determined to make for your people."
What I would love if people asked me: "My thoughts about the future of the industry and why SweetRush will remain successful and why I (a potential client) really should consider working with SweetRush."
What kinds of conversations I’m hoping to have with fellow L&D leaders and innovators: "One of my main reasons for attending DevLearn is to get my own pulse on the state of the industry. Towards that end, I try and foster ‘real’ and ‘authentic’ conversations with peers, so I add all this into my thinking about the future and our direction to win."
What I would love if people asked me: "How do the most impactful AI simulations actually work? Everyone’s experimenting with AI-powered role-plays, branching scenarios, and synthetic work environments. At SweetRush, we’ve seen these simulations work best in particular areas. Ask me what makes a simulation real enough to change behavior, and how to measure whether it did."
What kinds of conversations I’m hoping to have with fellow L&D leaders and innovators: "I want to hear what everyone is seeing on the ground. The L&D landscape is shifting fast: AI is changing how we design and deliver learning, budgets are under more scrutiny, and expectations for measurable business impact keep rising. I’m curious how other leaders are handling it. What are you piloting? What’s working, and what isn’t living up to the hype?"
What I would love if people asked me: "What is the difference between hiring a vendor to build training versus partnering with an agency to transform our learning culture? If we want to have a partnership with an agency, how do we prepare our internal team for that kind of partnership and set everyone up for success?"
What kinds of conversations I’m hoping to have with fellow L&D leaders and innovators: "I want to talk with L&D leaders about how they’re bridging the gap between executive strategy and learning outcomes. We’re all feeling the pressure to deliver greater impact with smaller budgets, especially with rising expectations around AI efficiency. Yet we also know that great learning still requires real resources. I want to know what’s actually proving to be compelling when you make the business case for a learning initiative and what messaging is effective in winning executive backing and budget."
What I would love if people asked me: "How do you know you’re solving the right problem?"
What kinds of conversations I’m hoping to have with fellow L&D leaders and innovators: "I love talking about what happens before the solution ever gets designed. What are you asking stakeholders to uncover the real problem? How are you getting beyond “we need training” to understand what people actually need to do differently, what’s getting in their way, and what will genuinely resonate with them? Some of my favorite projects start when we stop talking about courses and start talking about the experience we want people to have. Could it feel like a game? A challenge? A story? A simulation? Something learners would choose to engage with even if no one told them they had to?
I’m also really interested in how other L&D leaders balance innovation with impact. There are so many exciting technologies and possibilities available to us right now, but the coolest solution isn’t always the right one. I’d love to hear how others are deciding when to push the boundaries, when to keep things simple, and how they’re making sure the experience actually changes something once the learner gets back to work.
Mostly, I want to swap ideas with people who are questioning the default. What are you doing differently? What are you experimenting with? And what have you learned about creating training that people actually remember?"
